Charles Gabriel Lancaster Quinn

Charlie joined us on April 10th, around 4pm - he weighed 7lbs 9oz, and was 20.5 inches tall. He has a full head of black hair, and although it's too soon to tell, some believe his eyes are blue.

I think he's happy, despite the fact that he did not want to leave his mom's tummy. Michelle's water broke Sunday evening at 11:45pm (yes, 3 minutes after that last posting!). She was in labor for about 16 hours, pushing for the final 2-3 hours. But, Charlie would not budge. Much to our surprise, the doctor called for an emergency C-section, and about 30 minutes later (4:08pm Monday), Charlie arrived.

There were some complications with the surgery, which made the whole situation very hard for us at the time. However, Michelle has since pulled through like a champ. In fact, one doctor said he would put Michelle's recovery up against any recovery he's ever seen (which appealed to Michelle's competitive spirit :-)! Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers. I am happy to report: Mom and baby are doing great!! We should all be home by Friday.
