Ice Storm 2009

Here is the view from our front door. Lost power for a week, but it was not that bad, since - our next door neighbor, Jane O. had power, and an outlet on the side of her house. Thank God!

Once we had the heat going, we slowly wired-up the rest of the stuff we were missing. By the end of the mayhem, we were pretty happy with life in the dark. We had the cable modem (yay Internet!!) and cable TV in time for the Super Bowl.

Here is the power crew, coming to our rescue, albeit a little late, and Charlie after greeting the workers, and getting to wear their gear. Are these guys cool or what !?!
